And we were a team, and a family, and you betrayed us!
Ooh yes, they were in the same room together finally :) I did see the
Lance and Fitz, yeah, especially when he placed a hand over Fitz’s to
help him calm down. Very sweet.
Now that I would love to see :D
All right but can I just
Ward noticed how nervous Fitz was, how much trouble he was having being still. And Ward clearly took a second, built himself up, and asked how Fitz had been doing. He doesn’t know, all he knows is the last time they spoke Fitz was angry, depressed, felt as though he was damaged goods. And yet, here Fitz is, on an op with Coulson, and despite his nervousness, he isn’t panicked. He wants to know how Fitz has been.
And when Fitz explodes and goes to attack him? When Fitz goes at him, all anger and hurt? Ward doesn’t even try to defend himself. He was going to take it, let Fitz take out his hurt and anger.
More than anything, this is why I need them to actually talk next week. Fitz has a much better grasp of himself now. He has the ability to articulate what he wants to say to Ward, what Ward needs to understand. How Fitz feels - betrayed. They need to talk, and move past this.
Because Ward, for absolute sure, still cares about Fitz.
And I’ll be damned if there isn’t a tiny part of Fitz in there somewhere that still believes in the goodness of Ward.
